About the Item
This original contemporary landscape with it's clean lines and transitional neutral color palette offers a textured surface to which artist James McGinley added motion, dimension and significance to something as often overlooked as grain being blown around in the snow. McGinley's relaxing work enables the viewer to be one with their natural surroundings and respectful of the bounty of mother nature. Former head of fine art of the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts, James McGinley has taught countless accomplished artists their techniques and has been painting for more than 60 years across the USA and in Europe. The contemporary yet rustic frame was personally made by the artist and has a hand applied silver leaf; the framed size of the oil painting is 34x44, unframed it size is 30x40. McGinley's illustrious career has gained him broad acclaim. He passed away in 2021.
