Studied at the prestigious Moscow Art Institute from 1943 to 1948. He began exhibiting in 1949 and participated in numerous exhibitions throughout his career. He was a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
He is listed in Matthew Bown's, A Dictionary of Twentieth Century Russian and Soviet Painters.
