Year of birth: 1932
Biography:
Member of a family spanish saga of artists, which highlighted Joaquim Vayreda, founder of the so-called School Landscape Olot, leaves as a legacy a large collection of oils in which he captured his particular vision of landscapes of cities such as Olot, Girona, Cadaqués , Venice or Paris, and interiors of cafes and terraces. Although his relationship with the School of Olot was close, the painter, who signed his works as Vayreda C., never joined the aesthetic premises of that current and was inclined to a very personal realism. Artistically trained in Paris, Vayreda exhibited his works in numerous European cities, such as London and Paris, and North Americans, including Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and New York.
