White Sands New Mexico, Mid-Century Southwest Desert Landscape by Vannerson Gorgeous desert scene by award winning, self-taught artist Dr. Lucien C. Vannerson (American, 20th Century). This highly realistic 1962 Southwest desert landscape depicts the stunning and unique sand dunes of White Sands, New Mexico. Signed "Vannerson" lower right, dated 1962. Artist's label with title on verso. Displayed in a silver wood frame. Image size: 27"H x 35"L. Framed size: 43"H x 35"W. A doctor of chiropractic, Vannerson practiced in New Mexico, California and Arizona. He first became interested in painting in 1941 as relaxation from his professional duties. In 1956 he won four ribbons on two paintings in the Arizona State Fair, and from that time, devoted himself entirely to painting.
