The Whisper of Ernestine is a part of the diptych 38x57 in (97x146 cm) of size. This painting is sold with Certificates of Authencity. The Duality of two contrast beginnings that exist inseparably, but nonetheless creating the One whole thing, man and the woman, ying and yang. This eternal story for conversation and for truth searching. Here we can see two persons, but the real hero is hidden. One story told for two people. This colorful and black and white scene magically connects and divides parts of the Diptych, identifying the heroes of the Painting. The Country Window series. Noon (cactus) - acrylic on circle wood panel, made in violent, green, pink colors Nikolina Kovalenko received her MFA from Moscow Surikov Art Institute in 2011 and studied at Universität der Künste Berlin. She holds a Gold Medal from the Russian Art Academy. The artist currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Nikolina is interested in humanity’s philosophical connection with Nature and strives to expose the consequences our everyday actions have on the environment. Her work explores the symbolism of textures found in Nature, magnifying the mundane and transforming it into the sublime. Kovalenko works with fragile ecosystems creating artwork inspired by locations specific to each project. Her subjects range from global warming, deforestation and coral bleaching, to processing and interpreting visual landscape and cultural associations.
