Originally an agricultural worker, he later worked as a painter decorator and served as a town hall official in his native Nis. He went on to create frescos, wall paintings and small paintings, which after joining local exhibitions, he exhibited in 1973 in Geneva, Switzerland and in the eighties successfully in Paris, at the Salon International d'Art Naïf.
