Description
“Running Waters” is a plein air painting done in Taos, New Mexico. Solliday depicts the Rio Peublo de Taos, a tributary of the Rio Grande, as flowing abundantly after the winter thaw. The sky is clearing, the stately pine trees have survived the cold winter, and the marshy grass will soon be green again.
