Ulpiano Carrasco is a Spanish painter and sculptor born in 1961 in Villanueva de la Jara, Cuenca. His artistic language is known for its intense use of color, thick impasto, expressive brushwork and highly personal interpretation of landscape, architecture and urban views.
Since the 1990s, Carrasco has developed an international career, with works exhibited and collected in Spain, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the United States, Asia and the Middle East. His painting combines the emotional force of expressionism with the luminous tradition of Mediterranean and post-impressionist painting.
Carrasco’s works are especially appreciated for their material richness, chromatic power and ability to transform real places into vibrant pictorial experiences.
