An extremely atmospheric Victorian oil of a dramatic rocky coastline. Taken from a high viewpoint on the coast, possibly North Devon, looking out to an azure sea under a back lit sky. Walter Heath Williams was a landscape painter who during his life lived in Bath, Topsham and Torquay. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1845–67, the British Institute and Suffolk Street.
