Mendocino is north of San Francisco on, where the mountains meet the Pacific Ocean. Dixon is one of the finest American contemporary realist painters who has painted western landscapes for 35 years. His work captures the undeniable beauty of the West with its grand and humble spirit. Dixon’s work can be found in numerous distinctive private and public collections, as well as the San Francisco Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Oakland Museum of California.
