About the Item
'The Long Road Ahead', features an iconic Kim Frohsin female figure, created with mixed media on paper - Stabilo pencil, Prismacolour, watercolor, water crayon, gouache, ink, dry pigment. The painting comes to you in a white, archival 8-ply museum matting (both front and back), and an acid free clear acetate sleeve that is suitable for gift giving, and ready to frame. An exquisite work of art that is reminiscent of Egon Schiele or Gustav Klimt drawing. work on ppr is 10 1/4 x 7 7/8 inches. The outer dimension of the 8ply matting is: 19 x 16 1/4 inches.
Frohsin’s work is held by the San Jose Museum of Art, the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, the Office of the Governor, State Capital, Sacramento, and the United States Department of State. Her work is also in numerous corporate and private collections, among them the Morgan Flagg Family Collection, Buck Fine Arts, Adobe Systems, Inc Neiman Marcus and the Gap, Inc. Frohsin began exhibiting in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1990s, and in 1993 was included with Nathan Olivera, Manuel Neri and Stephen De Staebler in an exhibit of "Four Figures from the Bay." With Wayne Thiebaud as the juror, she won the California Society of Printmakers' Award in 1996, and the following year exhibited at the de Young Museum in San Francisco in "Bay Area Art: The Morgan Flagg Collection."
