Dynamic portrait with expressive brushstrokes of a couple in formal clothing with a third figure in the background by Allie Bill Skelton (American, 1942-1986 ). Details were added with a marker or pen over the oil paint, giving the piece a feeling of depth. Unsigned, but acquired with a collection of other Skelton pieces. Unframed.
Allie William “Bill” Skelton (American, 1942-1986) was a painter and sculptor active in San Francisco who was involved in the gay art scene of the 1960s and 1970s.
