This early 20th century oil on canvas family portrait entitled "Sitting for Photographs" is by New York artist Jennings Tofel (1891-1959). Tofel was a friend of Georgia O'Keefe and Alfred Stieglitz. He received an art grant to work in Paris in the 1920s. His work is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Framed in a restored vintage wood floater frame with gold face.
