A very striking and expressive work in terms of color! This has a contemporary and upbeat feel and attractiveness to the abstracted female form coming into a room. Would brighten and bring any room into the contemporary realm and bring a very fresh dash of vivid color.
Ralph Della-Volpe was a noted Post - War artist who started out with the Abstract Expressionists and then like Milton Avery and Wolf Kahn and others - chose to revert back to bringing some representational form back into his work. Color was his driving passion and he often used high keyed pinks, lavenders and greens like no other artist. His works are sought after and well loved!
