About the Item
This photograph was taken in Tulum, Mexico. It was a magical morning, I met a very special person at this secret cenote. We relaxed in the sunlight and then dove underwater, finding this cave like structure. The light beams flooding through the sacred water, I took some photos and created this piece so that the majestic light will always continue to shine.
I added a natural coral plant from under the sea that washed up on shore from the ocean close by to where the image was captured. I added small objects that I collected on the beach along with paint, and finally coated the work in resin. The photo is printed on a rolled canvas then adhered to a wooden panel before the final touches are added- making this work of art extremely durable and versatile.
