Giovanni Paolo Castelli called Spadino (Rome 1659 - Rome 1730) Still life Oil on canvas, cm. 81x31 - with frame cm. 92x41 Shaped and gilded wooden cassetta frame Expertise: Giancarlo Sestieri This cascade of fruit wrapped in a sinuous red ribbon, formerly in the Cesare Lampronti collection, has been attributed by critics to Spadino, whose workshop in Rome specialised in the production of rich and opulent compositions of flowers and fruit. The canvas has been considered as a fragment of a decorative cycle belonging to a single room.
