This piece is one in a small series of somewhat eclectic still life paintings. I enjoy the loose structure and a sort of floating over the top view and the heavy pottery with little wispy plants.
About the Artist
Glenn Quist is a full-time artist in Elk River, Minnesota, near the Twin Cities metropolitan area. His elongated modernist figures appear in scenes derived from both memory and imagination with a strong emphasis on color and composition. Glenn considers his paintings to be somewhere between dreams and reality. Opposed to telling stories directly, he prefers to present his work and leave the interpretation to the viewer.
