Abstract expressionist figurative nude by California artist Stephanie Heit (American, b. 1947). The paint in this piece has a metallic quality in some areas, possibly created with the addition of glitter - Heit frequently adds wax, pastel, graphite, and other materials to her work. This piece is firstly an abstract work, with line work that hints at the outline of a figure emerging from abstraction. Signed "STEPHANIE HeiT" in pencil in the lower right corner. Presented in a heavy tan mat with a linen overlay and a lightly distressed gilt frame. Image size: 17"H x 14"W
