About the Item

Keith Haring was an American artist and activist known for his iconic paintings and street art. He began to attract widespread attention with his spontaneous subway drawings after moving to New York City in the late 1970s. His later work often addressed political and social issues, especially homosexuality and AIDS. Juan Rivera was an artist and the partner of Keith Haring. The two were together from 1986 until shortly before Haring's death in 1990. Image dimensions: 8 x 10 in. Framed dimensions: 16.125 x 18.625 Work is framed to archival standards by Handmade Frames of Brooklyn, New York. Stamped on verso by Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Foundation number also on verso. This is a unique work. Work comes with an authentication letter from the Andy Warhol Art Authentication Board.
