About the Artist: A computer programmer and Webmaster by trade, Paul describes himself as a fine art photographer and a “digital manipulator.” His keen vision captures ordinary details from daily life and transforms them into images of beauty and wit, filled with contrasting shapes and effects.
Paul’s current series of abstract work focuses on macro images of nature combined with additional exposures of ice, snow, sand, and sky. Surrender - Ltd Ed
By Kat O'Neill
Located in New York, NY
Movement on Metal is part of a series of graphic, industrial, black and white photographic images. All are limited editions and produced with infused archival inks on metal which means the image is permeated into the metal thereby becoming part of the material versus being merely printed on the surface. It can be inside or outside in all seasons for years with very little loss of resolution. A mounting system would be included. The finish is a metal black gallery wrap. What that means is, imagine a metal frame that the image rests on. It is an inch deep and presents the art in an elegant, museum quality fashion...

1991 "Gate" Large Scale Signed Vintage Silver gelatin Print Photograph
By Zeke Berman
Located in Surfside, FL
Gate Taught Version 1991. Large format silver gelatin photo. signed and dated.
Zeke Berman’s still lifes are fabrications derived from the material of ordinary and intimate experience, reconstituted to satisfy the demands of improvised play, monocular vision, and the special characteristics of photographic description. They are concerned with the pictorial aspect of sculpture and the provisional nature of realistic indication. In the central tradition of still-life art, they aim to establish an unsuspected order in the congregation of unremarkable things.
Since the late 1970's Zeke Berman has been making singular, studio-based photographs. These works reflect his long standing interest in visual cognition, optics and
the intersection between sculpture, photography and drawing. The formal range of his work and his sculptural use of materials is varied, original and idiosyncratic. Berman’s work has been collected and exhibited in museums such as The Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan, Whitney, Art Institute of Chicago and LA
County Museum. His work was featured in the first New
Photography Exhibition, 1984, at MoMA. Awards include Guggenheim, NEA and NYFA Arts Fellowships. Berman lives and works in New York City.
from MOMA A World of Its Own: Photographic Practices in the Studio examines the ways in which photographers and other artists using photography have worked and experimented within their studios, from photography’s inception to the present. Featuring both new acquisitions and works from the Museum’s collection that have not been on view in recent years, A World of Its Own brings together photographs, films, and videos by artists such as Berenice Abbott, Uta Barth, Zeke Berman, Karl Blossfeldt, Constantin Brancusi, Geta Brătescu, Harry Callahan, Robert Frank, Jan Groover, Barbara Kasten, Man Ray, Bruce Nauman, Paul Outerbridge, Irving Penn, Adrian Piper...

"At first glance the viewer may only see geometric spherical shapes with added lines and rectangles on tea toned Silver Gelatin paper. "The supremacy of pure artistic feeling" rather than the visual depiction of objects assign to the art movement of Suprematism comes to one's mind. Similarly, like a giant of abstract art Kasimir Malevich, Jackson wants the viewer to look further, deeper than one might usually.
The feeling of 'sensation' of the ATO>MIC prints, the sharpness of the forms, the intensity defying its size to condensed 9 x 7 inches' paper, make it all the more dramatic to look at. It takes the viewer to another level of fantastical world of creation."
Beyond these flat forms of two dimensional ‘lumino-graphic’ works on paper, the purest form of photography (‘light drawing’) lays a visible path to three-dimensional imaginary world, realised in precise composition, rhythm and warm earthy tones of these works.
It’s up to the viewer to decide what they prefer to see and take with them.
As Wassily Kandinsky once said; “Imagination is what allows your mind to discover.”
