About the Item
It's About To Go Down is a fine art photograph framed in plexiglass and is part of Allyson Monson's BLUR Series, The Original Collection.
“Don’t adjust your eyes, this is how I see it. My formal training in interior design has led me down a path that I can not stray from, which is why my work evokes light, texture and color. Interestingly movement has snuck up on me in my work. It keeps me guessing and on my toes. I am always trying to perfect something that requires no perfection. I see everyday objects differently, beyond the naked eye. My work varies. Some images are clean and crisp and yet I have created depth with the ordinary layers of life. And then very often my images are quite complex, leaving the guesswork up to the observer. When I am behind the lens I am dissecting. I love to manipulate the camera in nonconventional ways. Very often I am not seeing the final image until I load it. It is those moments that my heart skips a beat, full of joy with what I have created.” ~Allyson Monson

Framed in Plexiglass
Allyson always had a love for texture and color. Her specialized studies were textiles, merchandising and design at the University of Rhode Island and interior design at The Studio Arts Center International in Florence, Italy. While studying in Italy she worked on a project designing a print of a coffee percolator using the texture from Pirelli tires. At that moment she began viewing everyday life from a different perspective.
Growing up in the suburbs of New York Allyson had the city at her fingertips. The fast action and energy of metropolitan cities remain her favorite subject. Expressing herself through her photography has provided Allyson the opportunity to combine her passions for the arts, design and travel.

His photographs are infused with an intimate knowledge of nature, a passion for pure color, and a rhythm drawn from life itself. Duckworth’s trademark style involves abstracting the photographic image to lend the work a much lauded painterly appearance. By providing the viewer a sense of place, yet obscuring the details, he allows each individual to step into the image and bring forth their own visual history. The ensuing narrative is enriched through the power of memory, infusing a personal creative process with universal appeal. John Duckworth lives and works in Johns Island...Category
