About the Item
ABOUT THIS ARTIST: Lucidity, color and energy are important elements in her work. The clean-cut divisions, forms and color combinations find their origin in reality, which is transformed and evolved through an elaborate sketching process. This process consists of strict actions like taking measurements, halving, tilting and repeating. Together with the associative use of color and playful variations, Vermeulen creates both unpredictable and solid works. The origins of the shapes and patterns in the work are often surprisingly romantic which you can sometimes find back in their titles. There is an obvious link with modernist art traditions, like pop-art, minimalism and concrete art, without being strictly anchored in them. Vermeulen turns stringent rules and restrained execution into exuberant and dynamic works of the present.’.
ADDITIONAL SIZES AND FRAMING: Additional sizes are available. Please inquire for more information on larger sizes. We offer fully archival professional framing for all prints for an additional cost. Framing is available in white, black or natural wood and prints can be framed either with or without a mat board. We also offer face mounting to plexiglas. Please inquire for pricing and more details on our framing.
PACKAGING: 30x40" and 40x60" prints are shipped in a special fortified tube to guard against bending or damage. Framed 30x40" prints are shipped via FedEx in a bespoke cardboard box with a fitted interior armature for the frame. We do not frame the extra large, 40x60" print sizes because they are too large to ship without risking damage.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: We ship unframed prints internationally via DHL. The international shipping cost does not include the tax & duties, which will be the responsibility of the customer. Unfortunately, because of the high shipping cost we do not ship framed prints internationally at this time.
