(photo by Markus Klinko) Heathen (stylised as uǝɥʇɐǝɥ) is the 23rd studio album by English musician David Bowie. It was originally released in Europe on 10 June 2002, and the following day in America. After departing EMI/Virgin, it was his first release through his newly-formed ISO Records label, in conjunction with Columbia Records. It reunited Bowie with producer Tony Visconti, marking the two's first full-album collaboration since 1980's Scary Monsters. Recording mostly took place at New York studios from August 2001 to January 2002 and featured overdubs from several guest musicians, including Dave Grohl and Pete Townshend. Two tracks, including "Afraid" and "Slip Away" evolved from Bowie's shelved Toy album, while three were covers by Pixies, Neil Young and the Legendary Stardust Cowboy. • ARNOLD Schwarzenegger. Sigined Annie Leibovitz ChromaLuxe Aluminum Print & Book
    By Annie Leibovitz
    Located in Los Angeles, CA
He’s a four-time Mr. Universe, seven-time Mr. Olympia. His films have grossed four billion dollars worldwide. He won the California governor’s race by a landslide. He has one of the most recognizable faces in the world, an oft-imitated accent, and a physique still heralded as the most perfect ever built. He’s Arnold, the one and only, with first name recognition worldwide, and now with an Art Edition equal to his impressive size and unabashed ego. A decade of collaboration in the making, this photo tribute covers 75 years of Schwarzenegger, from the future Terminator’s impoverished childhood in Thal, Austria, to his rise as a young athlete, his journey to America to become the most celebrated bodybuilder of all time, to his career as the world’s leading action film star, then into the California governor’s mansion and beyond. Along the journey, Arnold’s muscular body, chiseled features, and charismatic personality made him a favorite subject of photographers, including Richard Avedon, Annie Leibovitz, Robert Mapplethorpe, Herb Ritts, Francesco Scavullo, and Andy Warhol. The big book includes them all, while the smaller companion volume gives you more intimate images, and exclusive interviews with Arnold and directors Ivan Reitman and Bob Rafelson, and top bodybuilding legends. The Art Edition comes with a nearly life-size print of Arnold on the ski slopes by Annie Leibovitz for the June 1997 cover of Vanity Fair...

  • Siren immobilised in marble locked in embrace and galleon ship in the background
    Located in London, GB
Handcoloured portrait of a conjoined siren, immobilised in marble, locked in a sisterly embrace. Inspired by 19th-century cabinet cards, medical illustration, sweet singing Scottish Selkies, Lyra and her sister defend each other's isolation. Taken from The Sialia Marbles, a series of portraits containing ephemeral human sculptures taken between 2016-19. Together these works act as tales contained in a fictional sculpture hall, in direct reaction to Andre Malraux’s 1947 Le Musee Imaginaire (Museum Without Walls). Original title: 'Lyra’s Lips are as White as Mine’, 2019 Hand-coloured Archival Pigment Print on Hahnemuhle Photorag Fine Art Paper (100% cotton) 40.5 x 30.5 cm Unique Series: The Sialia Marbles Signed and dated on verso "I’m not a sculptor, but I wanted to construct my own stories. Photographers have often used sculpture in order to challenge our idea of a “sculptural” body or object, by casting them in a two-dimensional light. I love playing with perception. A lot of my work is influenced by the nineteenth century—the pictorialist movement for instance. When photography was a new experiment, people would play around with perception tricks—Victorian paper theaters...
