About the Item

Rebecca Skinner’s “Trapped” is part of her "Rust to Dust" series documenting the beauty of the decaying automobile. The 12 x 18 inch color photo is of an antique Ford truck. A tree grows thru the cab displaying the power of nature, giving the Ford a permanent resting place in the landscape. With satin finish, the image is infused directly into metal making it waterproof and easy to clean. This frameless metal print is wired and ready to hang. The artist’s signature is located on the back. With breathtaking depth, true vibrant color and amazing detail “Trapped” makes an excellent addition to your home or office. Edition of 5. This image is also available upon request as an acid-free, archival, paper print. Traditional prints are done on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta Paper featuring a 100% cotton base with a very finely textured gloss surface finish. Abandoned buildings serve as the focus of Boston-based Rebecca Skinner’s most recent series of photographs. Skinner studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, RI. Artscope, BostonVoyager and Upworthy are just a few publications that have featured her widely shown work. Skinner is represented by Fountain Street Gallery in Boston, MA.

This large format, color-photograph belongs to Jay Mark Johnson's wave series - the images from which depict the rhythmic cycling and recycling of oceanfront waves as recorded on remote coastlines around the world--in Hawaii, Florida, California, the Caribbean, Great Britain, Australia and South Africa. These artworks belong to the artist’s ongoing inquiry into the possibilities for timeline photography. For this decades-long project Johnson employs an unconventional camera system to produce seamless delineated renderings of familiar events as they occur over time. The results present an altered view of our surroundings. Artworks from Johnson’s timeline series have been exhibited extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe. They can be found in the permanent collections of the Bundestag (German Parliament) in Berlin, the Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie at Karlsruhe, the Frederick R.
