About the Item
The Large scale paintings of Ceravolo have received international acclaim for more four decades. His art, came to popular attention when he was commissioned to create five large scale oil on canvas paintings for the lobby of The Palladium Theatre in New York City of Frank Zappa, Jackson Browne, Linda Rondstadt, Neil Young and Hall and Oates. In addition to those, his paintings are in many influential corporate and private collections, including: ELTON JOHN, ROD STEWART, HUGH M. HEFNER, DAVID BRENNER, MONIQUE VAN VOOREN, WARNER BROS., RCA RECORDS AND SCHENLEY INDUSTRIES to name a few.
Ceravolo has been call the "Rock and Roll Painter" and "Painter of the Stars of Rock" by the media. We have included in this listing images of Ceravolo with some of his celebrity and RockN'Roll clients.
This vintage image photographed By Ceravolo in the 1980"s is titled "Double Fantasy". The model, Ava Fabian, was photographed by Ceravolo with B&W Tri-X film and developed by him in his darkroom. The image was printed in 2020 by Ceravolo from his original vintage B&W negative. He has solarized and added color to his black and white photo, to create this one of a kind work. The art is printed with archival inks on 100% rag paper. The solarizing gives the figure a silver metallic look to it, while the color adds a contemporary style to the look of the finished work of this vintage photograph. The large 24x30" image is framed and is signed and dated by Ceravolo in pencil on the front. The framed size measures approx. 30x36"
