I have included in this listing an image from some of the world-wide Social Media Buzz on Candice CMC and a photo of her working in her studio.
In this work of art on 100% rag paper, Candice CMC uses hundreds of her photographs of donuts to create this one of a kind portrait. She is able to capture the look and and character of Groucho Marx just by using donuts. Image size is 53x41", framed size measures approx. 60x48".
The art consists of hundreds of extremely sharp images of donuts, photographed by Candice and arranged by her according to their tones, colors, values and intensity to create the portrait. Candice CMC uses the the donuts as her palette, the same as if she was creating the portrait with oil paints. She chooses the correct placement of just the right donut for each area of the art to form the iconic very realistic portrait.
Candice CMC's art has been featured in prestigious Art Fairs in Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Santa Fe and San Francisco as well as many distinguished galleries. This past winter she had her first museum exhibition. Her unique art hangs in numerous corporate and private collections worldwide.
We have also included an image of the current listing for a 17 million dollar penthouse in Austin Texas that features a very large version of "Groucho Donuts" by Candice CMC.
This one of a kind work is not an edition and is signed on the front in the lower right by the artist.
