Price Upon Request - Jesolo Twin BuildingsBy Gianfranco PezzotLocated in New York, NYItalian photographer Gianfranco Pezzot has always been interested in the ways we shape, use, and experience the environments we create. Having felt the need to extensively research for his work, the Resorts series emphasizes the relationship between the economical need for tourism and the lasting effects it plays on the environments we inhabit. Inviting scenery is isolated from its usual friendly connotations. Like ghost towns, these abandoned buildings give us the feeling of an artificial aesthetic, built just for holidays then quickly abandoned. By focusing on the shape of these places and his own spiritual connections to them, Gianfranco Pezzot demonstrates the acceptance of the inevitable. The shift of summer extends inside the buildings also, exacerbated by pure white, perfectly still lines. Buildings become art, free to stand regardless of their new ambition to just be. Gianfranco Pezzot's work has been published in several books and magazines like K*MoPA Photographs by the Next Generation, Eyemazing, the International Biennial of Contemporary Art Exhibitons and Tiger Art...Category
