Kazz Morishita (b. 1951, Nagoya, Japan) is a curator and photographer that has
exhibited his photographs in Japan, China, Europe and the United States.
Morishita's photographs from Moonlight Serenade have a very meditative aesthetic. He uses the moon as a philosophical reference, conveying the message that the moon is always the same, reflecting light on our lives that are constantly in flux. The moon is placed within serene landscapes that are very stylized, hyper-real.
These photographs are printed on beautiful handmade paper created by a 9th generation descendant from the Ichibei family, artisans considered a national treasure in Japan.
