About the Item

Grace Jones began her career as a model, working for fashion houses such as Yves Saint Laurent and Kenzo and appearing on the covers of Elle and Vogue. She began her music career as a star of the Studio 54 disco scene. Her distinctive androgynous appearance, bold features, and subversive antics made her an influential figure of the 1980s. Polaroid dimensions: 3.5 x 4.25 in. Work is framed to archival standards by Handmade Frames of Brooklyn, New York. Work comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Stamped on verso by the Estate of Andy Warhol and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Foundation number also on verso. Provenance: From the Estate of the Artist then to The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts to the current owner.
