Black and white silver gelatin photograph by Houston, TX artist Jim Reitz. The work features a broken crucifix sculpture found on the ground. Signed by artist in front lower right corner. Currently hung in a complementary light gray wooden frame with wide white matting.
Dimensions Without Frame: H 7.63 in. x 7.5 in.
Artist Biography: James Reitz captures city scenes and its inhabitants in his photography. He is able to display a certain sensitivity in his subjects. His city scenes have a concise quality.
James was born in Brooklyn, New York. He studied at the School of Visual Arts, in New York. He traveled through out the United States always with camera in tow.
He settled in Houston, TX, where he has taken the bulk of his photography. He has sold numerous pieces privately to collectors.
