The Lovers -- "Los Amantes" Series

2010

About the Item

This print shows two animal-like figures with horns embracing one another. The two white figures sit together on a bright blue and red seat that contrasts with the patterned ground. The exciting marks used to create the ground in addition to the use of bright yellow, blue and red in the background of the work allows for the white of the figures to stand out. This print is signed by the artist, German Perez, and is a limited edition piece (3 of 50). This work is sold unframed. Born in the Dominican Republic, German Perez has been called the Marc Chagall of the Caribbean. His work is characterized by vibrant colors, symbolist images and fantasy story-telling. Perez has exhibited worldwide, and is featured in international collections, especially in private collections of famous individuals. He lives and works in New York City.
