About the Item
"Replay 5" is a unique hand-painted monoprint. The artist's ink drawing made on translucent film was etched into a copper plate using the technique of photogravure. The plate became a repeatable matrix for the print series. Impressions were printed from the plate in varying colors and Petley hand-colored each print using stencils and acrylic paints applied with a mouth atomizer. The print is titled, signed and dated on the back, lower margin in pencil.
The prints in the "Replay" series are published by and available exclusively from Manneken Press.
