About the Item
Patty deGrandpre’s “Juice & Coffee (at the Table)” is a 13.5 x 10.75 inch unique abstract inkjet print represented on 17 x 11 inch Awagami Washi paper embracing both digital printmaking and creative photography. Black and white impressions of a cup, saucer, drinking glass, and folded napkin are superimposed over a field of subtle pink and muted turquoise flowers creating an optical illusion as the delicate blossoms can be viewed as a table cloth or as the pattern on the tableware and napkin itself. In contrast, a screen of blue and grey toned clouds and spheres sit above the graphic table setting. Fragments of the drinking glass and cup are again reflected in a vivid pop of orange at the top of this contemporary print. The depiction of everyday objects within the layered abstract imagery are a whimsical addition to this lively print. Deconstructed images and photos are cropped, manipulated, and scanned to create the “digital plates” that become the catalyst for deGrandpre’s one of a kind prints. This unique image is printed on media prepped with platinum white block printing ink and is signed and dated under the bottom right corner of the image. This print will ship flat in a protective sleeve ready for the frame of your choice. This vibrant modern print will make a striking addition to any contemporary collection.
