Paul Jenkins
Limited Edition Paul Jenkins Lithograph, Abstract Expressionism, 41/70

About the Item

Paul Jenkins' works are described as: "Flowing veils of color that overlap and interact together, seeping and bleeding vivid color." In 1954 Jenkins had his first exhibition in Paris; in 1954 he had his first American exhibition in Seattle at the Zoe Dusanne Gallery. Jenkin's chance-based pouring techniques helped pioneer new approaches to Abstract Expressionism, and in the 60's-70's, he referred to himself as an "abstract phenomonist". Today, his works hang in galleries all over the world. He loved living in his French homes ( in Paris and also Provence) half the year and the other half in New York City. He died in 2012 at the age of 88. (This very limited edition lithograph is #41/70.)
