About the Item
ROY AHLGREN (1927 - 2011) American Printmaker, painter and instructor, Ahlgren became known during the Op Art movement in the early 1960s. He created geometric abstract designs, and his compositions were unique with many being mathematically constructed with considerable precision. His media was both serigraphy and traditionally brushed pigment onto canvas. Ahlgren has exhibited at the National Academy of Design Annual in New York, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the National Exhibition of Prints, the Library of Congress, and the International Exhibition of Graphic Art in Frechen, Germany.
