This is a rare hand-painted Limited Edition by contemporary artist Shizico Yi, created on a deluxe matte-finish giclée aluminium panel. Each edition is 90% hand-painted with Shizico’s own oil, gesso, and acrylic—every colour hand-mixed, every surface individually worked, signed, and numbered by the artist. No two editions are the same; each is a semi-original. Only 10 hand-painted Limited Editions were published for this painting; making it highly collectible. Materials & Production Reference Our Limited Editions are produced using the same employed by leading international publishers, including those used by HENI for the Francis Bacon edition of 100 (February 2025) — a release valued at £44,000 ($60,000) for a three-panel set. Beyond production quality, our Limited Editions are distinguished by their hand-painted finish. Each edition is individually worked on by the artist, personally signed, and produced in exceptionally small edition sizes of just 1 to 20 per run. This approach places our editions at the intersection of printmaking and original work — highly collectible, materially rich, and intentionally rare. About the painting: Summer Bloom series began in 2022, which Shizico Yi celebrates the season by painting en plein air in her garden. In 2024, she embarks on a fresh chapter with her new cottage garden; in the first summer of this new garden, she continues to create her own landscape and herbaceous boarders to inspire her artworks and find healing in the process of painting and gardening. In this series, her focuses on a new approach which she paints the negative spaces rather than the positive forms. Each stroke is the process of carve out the spaces around the outline of the objects whether is a tree, a flower or a leave. Also, colour becomes the primary device for expressing emotion, rather than reflecting the literal hues of the landscape. By using colour this way, Shizico heightens her sensitivity to mood and the vision within her mind's eye, moving beyond the habitual matching of colours to reality. These self imposed directions give her landscapes a touch of magical aura in this series of Summer Bloom landscapes. This major shift allows her to explore the interplay of light and shadow in a new unique way, emphasizing the negative and positive spaces between the flowers and the landscape/skylines around them. This series of paintings stand as a testament to her imagination, bold and always evolving techniques and the profound inspiration she draws from her natural surroundings especially her own gardens where she grows plants and re-makes her very own landscape. About Limited Aluminium: -Each edition is individually hand-painted by the artist, Shizico Yi, using hand-mixed original colours. As a result, slight variations in colour and detail may occur, making every piece uniquely one of a kind.
