This painting captures the early spring in Shizico Yi’s garden, where the Cherry Prunus stands as the season’s first joyful announcement. Painted en plein air, it reflects the raw freshness of early spring—when winter’s chill still lingers, but the vibrant blossoms burst forth like a promise. The delicate bloom of the Cherry Prunus stirs the senses and lifts the spirit, bringing colour and hope after the long, grey months. This work is part of the 2023 Spring Cats and the Sunny Factory exhibition, celebrating renewal, sunlight, and the quiet magic of gardens awakening. -A hand painted Limited Edition of 10 only, it is offered as an alternative to this original piece. Materials & Production Reference Our Limited Editions are produced using the same employed by leading international publishers, including those used by HENI for the Francis Bacon edition of 100 (February 2025) — a release valued at £44,000 ($60,000) for a three-panel set. Each edition is individually worked on by the artist, personally signed, and produced in exceptionally small edition sizes of just 1 to 20 per run.
