A rich impression with drypoint burr printed on antique laid paper. Signed and dedicated 'To James Greig' in ink. The bullfight series was one of the artist's early successes, bringing him local and international acclaim. Hardie writes: "The tired bull faces the matador, who stands with the flag in his left hand and a sword upraised in his right hand, waiting his opportunity for the final thrust. A group of toreros to the right."
