About the Item

The charity street pop art silkscreen print ‘Pandemonium’ is one of Hijack’s latest limited edition contemporary works created in 2020 as a fundraising effort for the Global Food Bank. The work incorporates urban landscape graffiti style imagery with jest and Hijack's signature street-art reality check. In the press release of the work, he mentioned a quote by Neil deGrasse Tyson which encapsulated the essence of his intention for the piece, "As humans we like to think we are in charge of our own corner of the universe. But every now and then and a microscopic entity reminds us that we are not." The street-artist prodigy, Hijack, has become recognized on a global scale for his activist mentality and has been incorporating themes of global awareness into his artworks. This visual commentary on the global health crisis is both thought provoking and captivating with icy blue and bubblegum pink highlights which add a pop of color against the monochromatic backdrop. The 'Pandemonium' print is part of a limited release of only one hundred in existence, the work on paper is signed by the artist on the right front corner and is stamped and dated on verso. Arriving ready-to-install, the blue chip print is custom framed in a matte white finish and is completed with museum caliber non-glare UV protective glass. The young street-art star has developed a consistent signature style that fluidly blends the worlds of contemporary and street-art together in a mixture similar to that of his mentors, such as the legendary Banksy, Shepard Fairey, KAWS, and his father, Mr. Brainwash.
