Dawn had not yet arrived when I got to the salt marsh and this is the view that greeted me. A barn owl was hunting for field voles flushed by the rising tide. In the background are a small fling of dunlin looking for a spot to land. Each woodcut in this series is individually hand printed so each print is different. At least 4 hand-carved woodblocks were used to create this print which was built up in several layers.
