About the Item

Sa Majesté la famine is a beautiful black and white lithograph realized in 1898 by the French artist, Maximilien Luce. Signed and dated on plate on lower right margin "Luce 1898". Title on plate on lower left margin "Sa Majesté la Famine reine de Sicilie", with a devotion on plate on lower right margin under the signature and the date "aux condamnés d'Ancone". In excellent conditions, except for a usual yellowing of the paper on right margin, a little rip on the right margin, a light fold on the higher left corner, and a restored rip on the left margin. A wonderful original print on laid paper, all margins, published for New Time, by Jean Grave Editeur.
