About the Item

NEW MOON is an original hand drawn lithograph by the renowned American Pop artist, Peter Max, printed in an edition of 150, using traditional hand lithography techniques on archival Arches paper, 100% acid free. NEW MOON is a mesmerizing, transcendental composition depicting a large red moon rising among the clouds, as a long robed Zen monk shelters himself beneath a hot pink and purple umbrella. He stands silently in a contemplative pose; the glowing skyline in the background softens into airy shades of vibrant turquoise, light golden ochre, touches of blue, and green. The moon's luminescent purple glimmer surrounded by rainbow outlined clouds create a hypnotizing transcendental scene.
