Original, Stop, Loose Talk to Strangers. ‘Enemy ears are alert’ vintage poster. Excellent condition, linen-backed WWII vintage war poster: STOP LOOSE TALK TO STRANGERS ENEMY EARS ARE ALERT. Archival linen backed and ready to frame. Stop Loose Talk to Strangers: Enemy Ears Are Alert, the 1940s U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("This poster is published by the House of Seagram as part of its contribution to the National Victory Effort") asking soldiers, civilians, and workers to be careful about what they say in public and featuring the art of a hand indicating to stop by Essargee. Printed for the war effort by Seagram Distillers Corp. N.Y.C. Issued by Seagram Distillers, this poster was one of many created specifically for use in bars and taverns, warning those imbibing to keep their mouths shut even when under the influence. The artist is listed as Essargee, but this name was a pseudonym. The artist was Seymour Golf, the Art Director for the Seagram Company at that time. This is an Original Lithograph Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction.
