A fine impression of the Delteil and Wittrock's only state of this extremely rare lithograph, from the edition of only 50. Published and distributed by Kleinmann, Paris. Catalog: Delteil 65; Adhemar 54; Wittrock 42; Adriani 42 Image size: 11 5/8 x 18 1/2 inches Sheet size: 22 x 15 inches Provenance: ex-collection Alfred Walter von Heymel (German, 1878-1914), wealthy Dresden poet, publisher, art collector and co-founder of the literary and art journal Die Insel, know for his extraordinary collection of the prints of Toulouse-Lautrec, many of them unique states, bearing his blindstamp [Lugt 2861b] at the lower right sheet tip; ex-collection Kurt Sponagel (Swiss, born 1887), noted for his collection of the work of Toulouse-Lautrec, Edvard Munch, Ludwig Kirschner, and a variety of Swiss artists, bearing his collection stamp [Lugt 2929a] in violet ink verso, followed by his pencil annotation of the collection catalogue number ("III C / 2271").
