2005

About the Item

Daugava 2005, a/e paper, linocut, 14x10 cm "Daugava" depicts the Daugava River, which is a significant river in Latvia. The linocut technique allows the artist to capture the essence of the river through carefully carved lines and patterns, creating a visual representation of its flowing waters. The choice of paper and linocut as the medium indicates a traditional and hands-on approach to printmaking. The artist has utilized various carving tools to create intricate details and textures in the linocut block, resulting in a visually captivating representation of the Daugava River.
