Hampstead Heath NW3 is an original limited edition Reduction linocut by Jennifer Jokhoo a Surrey Hills based Printmaker/Painter. This print is a reflection of summer time in Hampstead Heath – views seen from the parkland at Parliament hill.
This print forms part of the 20 x 20 London series.
This print is also available in black and white with a green band.
In the Reduction linocutting method, a multi coloured print is pulled from a single block. The lino is inked with the lightest colour and the first printing is made. The areas to remain that colour are then cut away. This is the process for each layer, therefore it cannot be rewound or repeated. As a result Jennifer’s editions are kept very small.
