About the Item
This abstract landscape by Ken Elliott is a limited edition print. It depicts a forest of trees sitting in a blanket of snow, and a subtle sunset above the top of the forest. The thin trees' trunks are a deep violet, which are contrasted the muted orange of the tree leaves and a yellow and peach-colored sky. Bordering on Impressionistic, the piece features the artist's signature use of bold, cool colors in the shadows with bright, warm colors for the light.
This Limited-Edition giclee print by Ken Elliott with an edition of 195. Printed on canvas, this giclee ships framed in a silver floater frame wired and ready to hang. Other floater frame options are available in gold, black, white, and walnut. For additional sizes and alternate frame options or rolled, please contact us. Limited Edition prints are printed with pigment ink on a Premium Fine Art Matte Canvas and designed to meet museum longevity requirements and ensure consistency. Ken Elliott is an abstract landscape artist based in Colorado. With over 40 years in the art business, his knowledge spans well beyond the easel. Of his work, Elliott says, "My focus is the landscape and its rich store of ideas and inspiration. I am compelled to work from the trees, skies, lakes and streams in their endless variations. I don’t try to recreate nature (even Monet said he never got it right), or attempt storytelling. Instead, the works are simplifications and exaggerations of nature. There was a time when I felt the tyranny of the landscape. That is, I felt limited by making pictures of a place. Now, instead of making pictures, I am free to make paintings - art that comes from nature but is far more reliant on the strategies of making good art objects."
