Philadelphia-born Irving Guyer attended the Art Students League and worked in New York City before moving to California. This print is signed and titled in pencil and has the stamp of the NYC-WPA. In general NYC prints for the WPA were printed in editions of 25 and sent to libraries and museums. The artist was given three impressions. An impression of this subject in the Smithsonian American Art Museum, in Washington, DC.
