Original antique travel poster for Norway with French text The Land of the Midnight Sun / Norvege le Pays du Soleil de Minuit featuring great artwork by Othar Holmboe (1868-1928) depicting a traditional wooden Norwegian Stavkirke church with snow topped mountains in the background, a tree on the side and the building reflected in the calm water next to a route map marking travel over the Atlantic Ocean from America and Canada, Europe, Scandinavia and North Africa, including New York, Constantinople, Tangiers, Germany, Moscow and Petrograd, Reykjavik, London, Vienna, Lisbon, Cairo and other cities, the bold stylised lettering above the red winged wheel logo against the yellow shaded night sky. Printed by Aktietrykkeriets Lith AFD Trondhjem. Good condition, small tears, creasing.
