FEMME ASSISE is a limited edition lithograph re-created after an original painting from the estate Collection of Marina Picasso, Picasso's grand-daughter. Printed using hand drawn lithographic plates(not a photo reproduction or digital print) on archival heavy weight Coventry printmaking paper, 100% acid free. Edition was produced in accordance with the Picasso family under the supervision of Marcel Salinas, master chromist who worked closely with Pablo Picasso during his lifetime.
Bears the estate approved printed signature of Picasso on center lower margin. Lithograph is in excellent condition, never been framed or mounted. FEMME ASSISE portrays an eye-catching colorful abstract seated woman portrait. FEMME ASSISE engages the viewer with the woman's figure expressed as juxtaposed basic color shapes printed in shades of bright blue, red, burgundy, yellow, forest green, pale gray, and black. As a humorous note Picasso paints a blue smiley face to complete this imaginative and striking female portrait!
